Working Together to Exceed Standards
In each Hickory Creek skilled nursing center you’ll find the Quality First Membership Covenant proudly displayed. It shows that we commit to continually assessing what we do and how we do it.
Promoting government standards of quality and ethics isn’t just something we have to do, it’s something we believe in. We feel that we have a special role to provide healthy, affordable and ethical aging services. We are committed to exceeding quality standards and living up to the trust that families place in us daily.
More about Government Quality Initiatives
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), an agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, awards a Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) contract to one company in each state and territory. The QIO in each state is charged with assisting nursing homes in improving the quality of care for Medicare beneficiaries; protecting the integrity of the Medicare Trust Fund; focusing on quality improvement initiatives; and promoting preventative health care services. In Indiana, the QIO is Health Care Excel. In Ohio, the QIO is KePro.
